Echelon Risk + Cyber is looking for a Security Engineer Intern to join our team. Our successful intern will have the opportunity to engage with systems that are at the cutting edge of technology and scale, will work directly with the team to help analyze and remediate cybersecurity issues uncovered within various client systems, and support key projects and initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for college students in their third or fourth year of college who are enthusiastic about learning more about a career in the Cybersecurity industry. This position will be a paid internship and it is expected to take place from July 2022 with potential for extension and future opportunities based on performance.
Supporting Echelon’s Cybersecurity Engineers and Consultants to address client needs, develop business opportunities, and improve our suite of offerings.
Assisting in protecting our clients’ information assets through a variety of improvement projects.
Helping our clients stay protected from cyber threats by working with best-in-breed cybersecurity platforms, including:
Delinea / Thycotic
Advancing the mission and vision of Echelon through research & development efforts, such as:
Evaluating products and services for potential client offerings.
Keeping colleagues and clients abreast of cyber news, such as vulnerabilities, threats, and product updates.
Developing use cases of Echelon services to address the needs of our clients.
Currently enrolled in an accredited University - preferably studying Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline
Ability to work 20-40 hours a week between 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday
Experience in areas such as help desk, incident management, systems security, network, and/or application security is preferred
6+ months experience of application of technical skills outside of the classroom (Examples: laboratory, extracurricular project teams, volunteering, personal projects or prior internship/work experience)
Programming knowledge is a plus
Deep interest and curiosity in learning new skills
Ability to stay on task and effectively communicate with a remote work team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced level of English, both verbal and written- only resumes submitted in English will be considered
