Overview

Echelon Risk + Cyber is seeking an Intern to add to our team. This individual will not only work on current client tasks but also help build processes that will drive value for the future of the team. Work will be performed in a consultative manner with clients of various industries, sizes, and makeup. Our successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with systems that are at the cutting edge of technology and scale.

This is a great opportunity for a college student who is interested in learning more about a career in the Cybersecurity industry. This position will be a remote role and is a paid internship. The internship is expected to take place throughout both periods of 2023 with the potential for extension and future opportunities based on performance.

What You Will Do

  • Innovate and challenge yourself to start your professional adventure by interacting with multiple clients and learning new tools
  • Become an entrepreneur in your own story and develop new skills
  • Shadow senior consultants and understand client interactions
  • Gain knowledge of trends to evaluate and test business processes to identify the areas of risk and other opportunities for improvement
  • Work with the internal team (offensive security, defensive security, advisory services, and third-party risk management) to plan and learn strategy, objectives, and client risks
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations and processes and utilize that knowledge to assist in the development of standard Echelon processes
  • Participate in presentations, reports, and analytics
  • Get the chance to work at a multinational organization!

Requirements:

  • Desire to pursue CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCIA, GNFA, GREM, GCIH, GCFE, or GCFA
  • Resilience to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and adapt in a demanding and changing environment
  • Intellectual curiosity: seeking opportunities to develop and a willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and superior analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience crafting professional messages and adjusting communication style based on audience
  • Postgraduate ambitions of being in the Cybersecurity industry
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college university- preferably studying
  • Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Ability to work 20 hours a week between 8AM-5PM CST, Monday-Friday
